Stranded!

I'm so stranded dito sa house. I'm waiting for the nissan messenger to deliver my car registration. I've been waiting for it for more than 2 weeks already and today is already June 1st. Like halerrr! Huhulihin na ako noh! Perwisyo talaga. Good thing i have no work today. Next year i will really have our driver process it. Mabilis na, mura pa, serbisyong totoo pa!

I'm meeting up with my PS friends later this afternoon coz we have a lot of catching up to do. I'm excited! The last time i saw them last year pa before i went on a one month hiatus in Davao.

Me and my colleagues are going to Laguna at the end of this month. I just hope after this team building that they call we would all work harmoniously and have a better working relationship. Happy happy na sana and less or no controversies anymore. Sana ma-build talaga yung team hahahaha whatever! Haay, I really miss the working relationship and the friendships that I had back in PS. People there are so different. Minsan I regret why nag-resign pa ako. Haay, I'm just gonna make the most out of my stay here sa new job ko. I'll make sure I perform well all the time. I'm thankful pa rin because I have friends at work who are super supportive and my babyboy is there to make things right and make me feel protected. Mahal ko na siya talaga..ahhahahhahaa!

Bakit bah ang bagal ng limewire? It's either mabagal or mali ang ginagawa ko. Hmpf!!

Oohhh someone will be eliminated in my life this July. Hahaha I can't wait! Naku, one wrong move lang baka mapaaga pa yan. Humanda ka.

I have very supportive friends. Thank God for them. Hulog sila ng langit =)

1. we have a new dacshund named lucky. very unique ano?

2. my mom went to the states for a vacation without me. so sad.

3. some gay walrus-looking co-worker wants to pick a fight with me. i didn't know he existed until the day he made parinig about me and my friends daw making balahura our manager. what the?!? i don't even see my manager that often! he said something like "amoy mahirap"...hmmmm bilhin ko kaya siya?hahahhaha! joke! loser talaga that seaworld-bred walrus.

4. me and my friends went to ilog maria last week. yipeee! =) they're all loving it too!

5. Balahura is such a strong word for davaoenos like me. We do not use this word in our conversations. It's considered as malalim na tagalog na. I was like, ano daw?! Paki-define nga ulit ng balahura..

6. I didn't fight back kaya masakit heart ko. I'm relatively new in the office but definitely i'm much more experienced than my co-workers and some bosses there who have been in the industry for what, less than 1 or 2 years? Hellerrrr! This is the first time I experieced something so unprofessional and masama ang loob ko dahil i didn't fight back. I chose not to fight back and wala akong kasalanan. So sakit kasi everybody know's wala akong kasalanan pero syempre nagreact muna sila before talking to me. the damage has been done kaya kahit magbait baitan kayo dyan, eto lang masasabi ko: kahit ano pang sabihin mo, di kita ka-level. Balibaliktarin mo man ang mundo, bakla ka pa rin, babae ako...dyosa ako, babyramo ka lang.

7. Don't get me wrong. I have so many gay friends. Good gay friends and naughty gay friends. I have nothing against them. I enjoy the company of gays. I can even converse in gay lingo, tagalog man o bisaya.

aawwwww babyboy's back! super nagulat ako when he just appeared in front of me pero di ko pinahalata syempre. baka maganahan naman siya noh. windang ever ang lola. as usual, super tambay siya dun sa area namin. feel na feel ko naman. pinanganak talaga kong assuming! sabi niya he has no work daw talaga chuchuchu feeling ko naman ako yung pinunta niya dun. haha! why not!? he was in baguio for 2 weeks and he looks so fresh kanina. nahiya naman ako ng konti kasi di ako nakapaghanda sa pagbabalik niya. malay ko bang mahilig pala siya sa surprises haha. perky na naman ako kanina syempre. hahaayy! my car, cheeky, wala nang sakit then babyboy reporting to work ahhhh zaraaap!

my trainer friend greeted me near the office elevator this morning. she told me i got the highest rank in my batch. ohhh i should be overjoyed, however, hindi eh kasi kulang pa yun sa totoo lang. there are others na mas mataas pa syempre and we are all aiming for that. haayy give us a few more weeks maybe a month or two...hmmmm! sayang naman all that experience from the other side if tatanga tanga naman kami dito. we will do better. promise.

i'm listening to "Don't Matter" by Akon again. Last night i played it for more than 10 times haha kabisado na ata ng angels namin dito. I sooo love this song! Bat ba ngayon ko lang narinig to?! Kung sa bagay, i just learned how to put imeem sa friendster a few days ago and it was my 11 year old nephew who taught me pa and instructions were sent online pa talaga. Haay! Pathetic ko talaga.

Onga pala, i didn't put much effort today to dress up and all kasi feeling ko wala na naman si babyboy. Ahhh wala nga! Anong matinding karamdaman kaya ito at magiisang linggo na siyang wala? Naku, wag siyang magpapakasal nang di ko nalalaman! Nakuuuuu talaga! haha! Malaman laman ko lang na naghahoneymoon siya habang ako ay subsob sa trabaho dito hah! Imbyernah!

I have a colleague na medyo naive. Parang minsan iba ang interpretasyon niya sa mga bagay bagay, which is tolerable naman, and parang masyado siyang madaldal at kinukwento na niya some things going on between our group sa ibang tao na di namin ka-close na naging ka-close lang niya 15 minutes ago. Bakit siya ganun? Maybe it's dala ng kabataan? hahah! Haaayy ok lang. Ganun talaga siya. Lesson is, wag na lang masyadong magchismisan. Less talk,less gulo. No future gulo or whatsoever. Nonesense ko na.

Nothing much has happened today. It's just a regular working day for me. We're changing scheds next week. I hope I get the kindest, bestest, hassle-free sched there is, same for my group din para happy lahat. We all hope di mag-connive other peeps so we could get nice scheds talaga.

Ang lagkit ko. Iniiiiit sobra! May crushie babyboy is sick. huhu! Hope he'll be there na tomorrow para perky-perkihan na naman itu hihi!

Something new

ahhhh! so many new things in my life and now lang ako nakapag-log in ulit dito! whew!! first off, i have a new job. it's not that new to me but definitely easier compared to my previous job. it's still in makati though hehehe! i thought for a while that i was going to work for my ultimate crush, di pala. Ayaw ni Lord.

I have new friends too. I'm glad I was able to hit it off right away with them. Di kasi tumuloy yung isa dyan kaya I was all alone during my first day there. Mix of girls and guys ang new friends ko here and for a second i was na-culture shock kasi for almost three years I was used to having girls and gays as my colleagues. usually the guys are my bosses. with the new job, ahhhh may guys na! one guy even made sagi my b**bs accidentally and i really felt so nabastos! hahahhaaa! Because them, uso na sa akin ngayon ang mag-baon sa office. I have never brought baon before sa office. Now, lugmok ang feeling ko if I don't have baon. During my first month, usual kain sa labas ang ginagawa ko but Sharon left for Bacolod so wala na akong lunch buddy so we decided to eat with the rest of the gang in the office pantry. Masaya pala!

My friends there are not so fond of yosi & starbucks so now starbucks people here don't know me anymore unlike sa kabila hehe. Seldom lang kami mag-starbucks. Tipid rin ha pero bawi sa parking! Imbernah!! Ohhh, i'm a normal person na nga pala since the start of the year. I wake up when the sun rises hehe.

I have a new look din pala kasi we have a dress code eh. Ok din naman pala pero minsan namimiss ko yung mag-dress down. The company naman is nice din kasi they allow us to dress down when there's an occassion. Like buong holy week, ganun. Puwede na.

I have a new crush there too!! ahahahhaaa i will not elaborate. But two exes have been bugging me lately. Anong masamang pangitain itu?!? hehe. I was able to spend my birthday with "The Man" and it was extra special because it's OUR birthday, you know. Truly memorable and di ko pinalampas ang pagkakataon kaya naman sobra ang teasing ng friends ko. Well, hello, it's for a good cause kaya! It's not for myself lang naman but for the less fortunate ones din kaya ok na ok talaga. I made sure I was available for that occassion kasi "The Man" is very busy too. Wag kayong magalala, I will bring you all on our next charity work para less bitterness kayo dyan! haha!

A couple of childhood, high-school and college friends have gotten married and yung iba may mga anak na. Haaay! Kelan kaya ako?! Ready na lahat eh. Groom na lang kulang nyahahhaa! I went out with someone not too long ago. Kala ko nga siya na. Eerrr...di na naman pala!!! So frustrating na. Totally evicted na siya sa life ko. Hmpp!

Ohhh, I stopped drinking Coke for a month and a week now. Grabe. Achievement ito for me. You know, my fam is addicted to coke. Eto ang tubig namin. But I was able to do it. Thanks to the sirang vendo sa office and the maykalayuang tindahan sa office kaya i have no choice but to drink water. Ngayon lang ata ako nakainom ng sobrang daming tubig sa buhay ko. It feels so good. Ang gaan ng feeling ko and in less than a month my colleagues have already noticed na pumayat ako choovahchoovah..Hay grabe. Yung yosi susunod na yan...pag magaasawa na ako which I would like to believe malapit na. I'll think of it and pray for it very hard para magkatotoo na talaga.

For the first time, I wasn't able to do bisita iglesia due to lack of sleep that day but i heard mass naman on Easter Sunday in santuario. Had lunch at italianni's greenbelt then we went to S&R at the fort afterwards. Enjoy naman ako.

Ahh yeah, my niece Kyla is now in Ateneo. She's staying at the Eliazo dorm there. She's doing well.. academically, personally, spiritually, lovelife and all. Haayy sana yung last meron din ako nun!

Let me update my favorite things later. Medyo luma na pala yung nandyan. I have new favorite things. I'll take a picture of them later.

Hmmmm I can smell our ulam now. I'll just update this later. At least nagupdate noh. Pasensya na if hindi coherent ang sinasabi ko. First time ko kasi ulit after 8 months. I have so much in my mind right now and gusto ko ilabas lahat dito. Alam nyo na, sabik. haha. Kain na nga muna ko.

Ang galing ni Bebeng!!!

Registered nurse si Bebeng sa L.A. Kasama niya ang kanyang ina na
nagpagamot doon. Namatay ang ina nito. Dahil sa kamahalan ng
pamasahe pabalik sa Pilipinas, nagtipid si Bebeng. Pinauwi na lang
niya ang kabaong
ng kanyang ina na mag-isa.

Pagdating ng kabaong, napansin ng mga kapamilya niya na nakadikit
ang mukha ng ina sa salamin ng ataul. Nagkomento tuloy ang isang
anak, "Ay, naku! Tingnan mo 'yan... hindi sila marunong mag-ayos ng
bangkay sa
Amerika! Nakudrado tuloy ang mukha ng inay."

Upang ayusin ang itsura ng bangkay, binuksan ang kabaong. Aba! May
sulat na-nakastaple sa dibdib ng ina. Kinuha nila ito at binasa. Ang
nilalaman ng liham na mula kay Bebeng:

iyan sa fiesta.

Suot din ni inay ang anim na panty hose at tatlong warmer para sa
mga dalaga kong pamangkin. Isuot nyo sa party. May isang dosenang
NBA caps sa may paanan ni nanay. Para sa inyo, itay, kuya, dikong,
Tiyo Romy. Bigyan
nyo na rin ng tig-isa 'yung mga pamangkin ko at 'yong isa ay kay
Pareng Tulume.

Ang tigdadalawang pares ng Nike wristband at knee caps na suot-suot
din ni nanay ay para sa mga anak mo, diko, na nagbabasketball.
Tigdadalawang ream ng Marlboro lights at Winston red ang nasa
pagitan ng mga hita ni nanay.

Mataas na sweldo, magaan na trabaho, no age limit at hindi rin kailangang college graduate. Ang tanging requirement, ganda ng boses at galing sa pagsasalita. 'Ika nga ng iba, "in" ka kapag nasa call center ka. Pero paano kung ang kapalit ng magadnang sweldo at iba't ibang benepisyo, ay ang kanilang kalusugan at kaligtasan?

Sad to say, Gigi Grande and the producers who conceptualized the said episode was not able to capture the truth behind call centers and their employees.

magaan na trabaho -- this is a misconception that a lot of people have about call centers. this is work, serious work and not playtime. as call center agents we are the frontliners of some of the biggest companies around the world. we handle their first line of defense for their businnes, Customer Service. we Filipinos who work in call centers represent these companies to their consumers and we filipinos can spell the success or downfall of these business just on how we deal with their consumers 24/7 and that is not an easy task. the reason why call centers thrive in the philippines is because filipinos have good customer service skills. we are professional workers and we give everything a 100%. i salute all the call center employees who make this feat possible. it means jobs and job security to the filipinos who wanted to work in their own country.

no age limit -- because call centers are equal opportunity employers. they do not set limitations to people's ability to work. it is only here in the philippines where we put an age limit to applications. it really does not matter what age the applicant is as long as they can still deliver quality performance. it is called diversity.

hindi rin kailangang college graduate - for cheap call centers maybe, not for the big ones. we encourage our applicants to finish college first before applying. they may also be assisted through schedule requests if they want to continue studying while still employed.

Ang tanging requirement, ganda ng boses at galing sa pagsasalita -- for radio stations yes. not for call center. we are not DJs. we also require high IQ and intelligence in call centers. For example, Wil Ison, the 24 yo manager who was featured in The Correpondents. You did not even applaude him for reaching that position in such a young age. if he was employed in a bank, he will only become a manager if he kissed enough bossess ass or because he is already 50 years old. People like Wil were promoted because they are good employees. Most of the call centers have internal application processes that enables the employees to apply for higher position highliting their performance and capabilities and not who their friends are and whose ass they just wiped.

'Ika nga ng iba, "in" ka kapag nasa call center ka. - this is not a fad. we are working, we pay our taxes, we are productive citizens of this country. we chose to stay and earn here in our own country rather than go abroad and contribute to the brain drain. we earn a lot beacuse we work hard. we are thankful for the good education we were provided by our parents that gave us the competencies we have now. we are working for multinational companies and we get promoted. most of us 21-30 years old and we are managers, supervisors and senior managers.

We may not be doctors or lawyers but at least we are not corrupt. We are productive and we make sure that our families and our future families will not be included with the uneducated, paid rallyists in EDSA, who do not even understand why they are there. We are not a burden to the government, they should even be thankful because it is our tax, the middle class tax, that makes it possible for the Philippines to stay alive.

Instead of potraying us as obese, smoking insomiacs....why not thank us? Applaude our achievements, be proud that we are very good with what we do that's why investors come in to the philippines. ask the government to provide security to the employees who have different schedules from the normal 9-5 workers? ask them to take care of us and in return we will work harder, show the companies that it is worth investing in the philippines, we will continue to pay our taxes and slowly but surely help our country progress.

Duterte delivered this piece, his Welcome Remarks as the father of the Host City during the 25th ASEAN Tourism Forum Opening Ceremonies last January 17, 2006 at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Convention Hall. His speech was well received, well applauded and much appreciated by the delegates of the ATF 2005. MABUHAY ANG DAVAO! -- Ian Garcia )

On behalf of the more than 1.4 million diverse people in this largest city in the world, it is my honor and pleasure to welcome you all to Davao City- the Philippines' gateway to Mindanao and to the East ASEAN Growth Area.

Thank you for choosing our city to be the venue of this silver anniversary of the Asean Tourism Forum. You have chosen well because we are extremely proud of our achievements as a cosmopolitan city of Indigenous and Muslim tribes and migrant settlers from all over the world.

Truth be told, we have not really consciously promoted Davao City as a tourist destination until now, when you insisted that we should come out into the world and share our own wealth of wonders. This reluctance to open to outsiders is probably due to OUR HISTORY OF STRUGGLE AGAINST THE IMPERIALISTIC AGENDA OF OUR WESTERN COLONIZERS AND EVEN OF OUR OWN MANILA-CENTRIC NATIONAL GOVERNMENT. We are wary of foreigners who come and visit because BEFORE ONE CONQUERS AND EXPLOITS A PLACE, ONE FIRST VISITS IT AS A TOURIST. SO WE CAN NEVER BE SURE.

But, perhaps, Davao is too beautiful to remain a secret for long. People who come here could not stop telling others about it and some of them even stay here for good. YOU ARE ALL WELCOME, OF COURSE. BUT YOU CAN ONLY DO SO ON OUR TERMS. WE WILL NOT CHANGE THE WAY WE ARE JUST TO PLEASE OUR TOURISTS. WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET. AFTER ALL, ISN'T THE POINT OF TRAVEL THE ADVENTURE OF DISCOVERING NEW PLACES, MEETING NEW PEOPLE, AND EXPERIENCING OTHER WAYS OF LIFE?

Davao's unique offering to the world is our diversity of peoples, cultures, and nature and how all of these interconnect and mix to create a truly cosmopolitan city. We are home to majority of the indigenous tribes found only in this part of the world and to a vast variety of flora and fauna. We enjoy an environment that is embracing and tolerant of diverse thinking and lifestyles, where no one group or idea dominating over the others. So the kind of tourists we want to visit us are those who appreciate diversity and who wish to be enriched by our varied cultures, who have respect for our people's rights and welfare. We want only those who wish to bring us peace and no harm.

Of course, the NEGATIVE TRAVEL ADVISORY AGAINST US IS CANTED AND SELF-SERVING. There is POLITICS IN TOURISM, after all. If we look at the COUNTRIES THAT ARE FOND OF LABELING US AS HAVING "SECURITY PROBLEMS", THESE ARE ACTUALLY THE VERY SAME COUNTRIES THAT INVADE AND CONQUER OTHER COUNTRIES, WAGE UNJUST WARS, AND INCIDENTALLY, CONTROL THE GLOBAL TOURISM INDUSTRY. So we should not accept that as a matter of fact, but view it as part of a larger political context. Being hypocritical and discriminating against poorer ad smaller destinations like us is probably their tourism strategy. Because HOW ELSE CAN THEY COMPETE AGAINST EXOTIC AND CULTURALLY RICH ASIAN DESTINATIONS?

If I may be allowed to share Davao's tourism strategy, it can be summed up with this – TAKE CARE OF YOUR OWN PEOPLE, REMAIN UNCONQUERED, ASSERT YOUR INDEPENDENT SPIRIT, MAINTAIN AND ENCOURAGE DIVERSITY, ENSURE JUST IMPLEMENTATION OF LAW AND ORDER, AND IGNORE TRAVEL ADVISORIES ISSUED BY ILL-ADVISED EMBASSIES. WE WILL TELL YOU OURSELVES IF WE ARE NOT READY FOR YOUR VISIT.

10 things you should NEVER say to a guy

If you want to have a successful dating life, certain phrases should never come out of your glossy lips. Here they are:

1. WHEN WILL I SEE YOU AGAIN? You'll see him when you see him. If he wants to see you again, he'll call. If not, next. You don't have time for anyone that doesn't have time for you.

2. WHY DIDN'T YOU CALL? There's only one answer to this question: Because he didn't want to!!! What you're really asking is, "Why didn't you want to call me?" Who knows!! There could be a lot of reasons, but you shouldn't be sitting around wondering why. You should be out dating lots of different guys and not worrying about ONE guy. Don't be so quick to put all your eggs into one basket, because if they break, it's a big mess!

3. WHERE WERE YOU? If he wanted you to know where he was, he'd tell you. What you're really asking is, "Where you with another female that you like better than me?" Your insecurity is showing, my dear. If anything, he should be wondering where you were.

4. I LOVE YOU (FIRST) - You're saying it in the hopes that he'll say it back, but what if he doesn't? You'll be devastated and probably feel foolish. Saying "I love you" is not going to speed things up if he's not ready to say it back. So just cool it, and let him be the first to say it when he's ready.

5. DID YOU SLEEP WITH HER? As long as he's not sleeping with her now, who cares? The past is gone. Don't torture yourself (and him) with these thoughts. In this case, ignorance really is bliss.

6. I’M PREGNANT. In 2005, with all the birth control choices available, there is no excuse for becoming pregnant, unless you want to be. You should be using something and he should use a condom, every time.

7. WHERE IS THIS GOING? Nowhere fast if that's your attitude. Guys want someone fun and easy to be with, not someone that's constantly worrying about the future. His actions or non-actions will tell you where it's going. If it's going somewhere, you'll know it. If it's not, you'll know it too.

8. WE NEED TO TALK. This is the equivalent of, "Go to the principal's office". Guys know it's not going to be a fun conversation, so they're already on the defense. If you need to discuss something, just casually bring it up when the both of you are relaxed. Don't try to talk to him when he's tired, stressed or trying to watch tv!

9. I HATE YOU! Even if you do, it's totally uncalled for and un-lady like. If there's an issue, be mature enough to discuss it when you're calm. If he's breaking up with you, reacting with anger may make you feel better temporarily, but it's best to remain calm and act unfazed. He'll wonder why you're so cool about it and that may make him re-think his decision. Always be pleasant during a break up. Do you want to be known as the girl that goes psycho if someone breaks up with her?? I don't think so.

10. I DON’T TRUST YOU. What you're actually saying is, "You need to step up your game, because I can see you're up to something." If he is up to something, he'll just become even sneakier. Better to think smart and act dumb-it'll be easier to get the evidence you need to confirm your suspicions.

In Davao City, you'll find the tallest peak, MOUNT APO (9,691 feet), the biggest eagle in the world, THE PHILIPPINE EAGLE (7 feet), and the biggest gimikan in the country, THE VENUE (2,000 people).

Davao City is known as the "Promised Land" because of its rich lush soil where everything grows easily. The city is blessed with a fertile soil where everything grows easily. Blessed with a fertile land and kind weather...it is outside the typhoon belt. People there have never experienced the so called signal 1,2,3,4,5 hehehe!!

Davao is the home of the rarest orchid, WALING-WALING. It is the home of exotic frutis, MANGOSTEEN & POMELO. It is the home of the King of Fruits, DURIAN.

Furthermore, this city is the home of the largest BANANA PLANTATION in the world. Ohhh it's also the home of one of the largest playgrounds in the country, complete with basketball courts and restaurants.

This city is being recognized as one of the TOP 20 MOST LIVABLE CITIES IN THE WORLDby respected magazines. The city enjoys the recognition of being the Most Child-Friendly and Greenest City in the world.

Did I mention that Davao City has a land area of 2,440 square kilometers (244,000 hectares, 3 times larger than the entire metro manila)? That makes it the BIGGEST CITY in the world. =)

Davao City has just celebrated the KADAYAWAN FESTIVAL last week. This is the second time in my 26 years of existence that I was not there to witness it. Davao, the Orchid and Fruit Basket capital of the Philippines celebrates the month-long Kadaywan Festival with contingents of dancers and participants in colorful costumes and it won't be complete without the elaborately decorated floats that are required to use flowers, fruits, and vegetables.

Above all these, what really makes me proud of this city is its super clean environment...No basura(as in!). You can use your gadgets in public places without fear of getting snatched. People here are warm and very maasikaso. A person alighting on a plane to Davao would be reminded that this city is a smoke-free city. So No Smoking kung No Smoking itu! I've seen numerous people (mostly tourists) and some unfortunate friends being frisked by policemen because of smoking. If I remember it right, the first person who got caught violating this was asked to do push-ups on the street fronting the MARCO POLO HOTEL and the ATENEO de DAVAO before he was sent to the police station. The following day na-headline na siya. Maluwang pa nun. Now, it's different. Of course, there are designated places naman where you can smoke but never in public places, especially on the streets.

During Christmas and New Year, we have been celebrating the same way the rest of the country do but it's been 3 or 4 years na that you won't see any paputok vendors. Promise. Fireworks lang ang pwede. No judas belt, no 5-star, no whatever na pumuputok. The most efficient (for me) and well-respected leader, MAYOR RODRIGO DUTERTE, makes an effort to extravagantly set up fireworks display for the entire city to see in lieu of the no paputok thing. The oldest hotel in the country, THE APO VIEW, also has their fireworks display as well as some of the old families in Davao.

If you haven't noticed, during Christmas and New Year countdowns on TV, Davao City is the most tahimik. So the result is, it's the city with the lowest number of Christmas and New Year related injuries. No ghastly hospital scenes during news updates before and after the clock strikes twelve. Grabe noh. =)

I won't mention na lang how disciplined its people (sa dami ba naman ng bawal!) and how everyone cooperates. You would notice on people's faces and attitude how great life is. Hindi yung nakasimangot, masyadong fast-paced yung buhay, na walang makain (coz hindi talaga coz the Mayor has this ano for the less fortunate. I forgot what it's called haha sorry..basta walang gutom!) Credit goes to my favorite mayor in the world. If you're from Davao City, galing man sa pinkamataas, mataas, mababa, o walang pinagaralan...takot ka kay RODY!! =) I won't elaborate anymore. I'm not sure if it's ok to post it here haha and it's another story. But he's really great..he's the best and efficient mayor. By the way, he rides his Harley Davidson around town...ibahin mu itu! Authorities don't make a career out of its local's pocket. It's only when I left the city where 3 different men in different uniforms flagged me down and started accusing me of beating the red light and is now giving me 3 options on how to retrieve my driver's license. Hallerrr!!!

I could go on and on and rave about this city, like the Ambulance service is for free, that we have our own 911, rice is only P10, food is reasonably priced, have the best drinking water (mayaman man o mahirap, we drink the same water!) but I can't because I have to work na hahaha! 20 Years ago...
Prep. Laro ng laro. I so love hello kitty, little twin stars and I have a huge collection of barbie(which i still keep upto this day) chinese garter, rainbow brite, carebears. would start and end my day watching sound of music (i've memorized the lines by heart). been taking so many lessons arrghh!!

15 Years ago...
Grade 5. sound of music pa rin haha. super active sa mga extra curricular activities sa school. Maarte na at laging may dalang brush. Maraming crush at pakiramdam ko this is it!

10 Years ago...
College. Warla days. So many men, so little time. Had my second boyfriend. Learned how to smoke and drink. Learned how to drive. Gimik forever. Cutting classes, have a few drinks in between classes. Denial queen tapos naging drama queen. Iba ibang kulay ng pagers, cellphone, at paramihan ng lacoste (haha!). Travelled a lot, gained so many friends, had too much alcohol, trusted the wrong people. Eto yung panahon na sobrang saya, sobrang sakit, and sobrang gusto kong mabuhay.

5 Years ago...
A reformed woman. Stopped drinking(occassionally na lang). Real friends. I already know what I want in life. Still trying to figure out how to improve my spending habits. Another boyfriend. Appreciated the people around me. Appreciated life. Realized how super lucky i am. Dito ko pa lang narealize yung mga sinasabi ng ibang tao and my mom about how i'm wasting time & money chorvah eklavooh...

3 Years ago...
Steady. Everything was falling into place. Ended a very stupid, walang patutunguhang relationship with someone hehe. I'm counting my blessings. Everybody's happy.

Last year...
Working in the graveyard shift. Moved from IPC to AAP. Went to singapore & malaysia with my ate's. Got a new car. Went to davao to celebrate mom & dad's 50th wedding anniversary. home again for christmas & new year(while my girls are taking calls & chats hihihi!) Fell so much for this guy...ewan ko ba grrrr! found out he feels the same way but it wasn't the right time..haay buhay!

This year...
Still with PS. Mas enjoy ako sa job ko now kahit routinary (i guess it's bcoz of the great people i'm with plus i have a super sup na gwapo na sobrang bait pa hihi!) Haven't had a vacation yet and i really feel i deserve one.

Had so much fun with my family but missed some important people in my life. Had a rift with someone. I know something good is gonna happen this year which would change my life completely. i can't wait.

Yesterday...
Office. No after shift bonding sessions with the perfect team. Slept late..been reading a nice book.

Last night...
Woke up at 7pm. Went to work around 9:30pm. The usual routine..setup PC, yosi, get coffee, log-in, chat.

Today...
It's only 2am and of course I'm still in the office!! No queue..about to take my lunch. Will have bonding session with the perfect team later..but i think di matutuloy.

Tomorrow...
Last day before my rest day!

Next year...
Would like to get a new job..sana outside the country. I have several options, have a few offers, and may mga offers din na "sponsored by" haha but I'm not really ready right now. Perhaps, next year. I'm on the verge of quitting pero katamad pa maghanap ng ibang job. Keri lang.

I so want to settle and have kids na.

5-10 Years from now...

last night we had our testing chorvah at our new building. we're supposed to test our PC's and tools to make sure we won't be experiencing technical problems by the time we transfer there this coming monday. our new home is so nice, very spacious, modern with a touch of elegance. The pantry is thrice the size of our old pantry and it looks very clean kasi ala pang tao hehe! We also have our own smoking area. Each floor has 2 smoking areas and happy kami kasi di kami maoover break coz the smoking area is only 5 steps away haha! I like the color schemes too: orange for the restrooms and applegreen for the pantry...pampagising sa gabi hehe fastfood chains are located at the ground floor and they will be working 24/7 too, just like us =)

ohhh i'll be seeing my old teamates from IPC and AAP now that we're all in 1 roof! yipee!!!

tahimik na naman house namin. umuwi na sa davao mga pamangkin ko coz start of classes na. haayy! lungkot kasi wala na sila. i was used to going out almost everyday tapos biglang taong bahay na naman ako. i was on leave last friday and my rest days are wednesdays & thursdays so for 3 days i took my pamangkins out again with my two sisters-in-law who were also in town for a medical conference. i was supposed to watch A Lot Like Love at Gateway but they forced me to watch Madagascar with them instead. as usual, magastos ito dahil hindi mo naman pwedeng ipasok sa sinehan yang mga yan ng walang food...at di naman papayag yan na popcorn lang ang nginunguya! i just love them coz they're so well behaved, even the small ones. actually the small ones are much more maabilidad than the older ones! after the movie, my nephew wanted mocha frapp so i asked them to stay somewhere and i'll just get mocha frapps for the older ones. aba eh nagulat na lang ako nakabuntot na sa akin yung mga maliliit and they wanted iced tea. hmmm magastos magastos. the following day, i left them at timezone G4 so me and my sisters-in-law can shop naman noh haha! we brought them home by dinner and the older ones went out again. this was the routine last week since my sister was out of town for a week. so we don't have anybody who's willing to pay for everything hahaha!

the week before that, the kids, again, went to enchanted kingdom, splash island, tagaytay, subic, and at avelon zoo ( dunno if the spelling is correct). they do this everytime they're here at di pa rin nagsasawa hehe..i was able to join them at EK, splash, and at subic. one of the reasons why i come to work during those weeks so ngarag is because after my shift, i go straight home, take a quick bath, sakay sa kotse, tulog ng konti, magigising kung kelan nakatulog na ako at nasa ibang lugar na ako, then uwi agad, alang overnight overnight, take a bath again, pasok sa ofis. diba, bahala na walang tulog basta join sa happenings hahaha! ang nakakaloka pa, i was supposed to be on leave for sat sun but due to some unforseeable circumstances, my supervisor sent me a text message friday morning to inform me my leave has to be retracted coz they will be trimming down the team and we would have to adjust with the skeds and all. fine. we're going to subic on saturday so i have to think. cyempre go pa rin ako sa subic and i was thinking of calling-in sick na lang. i was at Freeport Exchange in subic when out of the blue, sumulpot si benjo! he's my supervisor. the one who sent me the text message. kaloka diba. na-shock ako, na-shock rin ata siya.

benjo: sangi, pumasok ka ba kagabi?
sangi: oo naman!
(benjo was parang giving me the sure-ka-pumasok-ka-eh-bat-ka-nandito look) cyempre explain ng konti si akez...

so we went back to manila at around 6pm. ang traffic! kaya ayoko pag papuntang north eh. my shift starts at 11pm so i was able to go to work at 10:30pm and natulog ako sa shift ko, wala naman benjo eh at walang queue pag weekend hehe!

ohhh onga pala! my nephew obi wanted to go out last thursday. he was actually sick pero keri daw niya. so sabi ko libis na lang kami so i can meet up with my friend digs, who's working near that area. so from makati, daan ako ng market market...kaso ibang way yung pinasukan ko, so i said "mali ata to ah".. pero go pa rin ako. sabi ko look for the shopwise dyan sa right side. kaso i've been driving for how many minutes na ala pa ring umaapear na shopwise! i know it will only take a few minutes from market market and nandun na dapat kami. my nephew kept on saying i entered the wrong way, pero as usual in denial na naman ako haha...sabi ko na lang let's look for a U-turn slot. nagulat na lang ako nang bumulaga ang sign na nagsasabing SUCAT EXIT! sabi ko, "ay nasa paranaque na pala tayo" bwhahahaha!!! then i said again, "let's look for a U-turn slot", which talagang mamatay-matay sa tawa ang mga tao sa bahay kasi saan ka ba makakahanap ng U-Turn slot dun noh! in short, sa Carmona,Laguna pa ako naka-ikot coz I kept on staying on the left side of the road, so nilampasan ko southwoods and kung anu-ano pa before I decided to switch lanes so I can turn right on the next exit bwehehehehehehe! i know, i know! lalo tuloy nilagnat pamangkin ko saken hayy! ohh well...

1. Achuchu (A-chu-chu). This refers to the pointless insincerities
being said during long, involved conversations about nothing at all.

2. Ano (A-noh) The all-around, all-purpose word for everything.

(1) Pronoun in interrogation: Ano? (What)

(2) Noun: Where is your ano? (Where is your father/mother/
dead-uncle's-second-cousin)

(3) Verb: Anuhin this. (Paint/kill/maim/castrate this.)

(4) Adjective: This is so ano. (This is so pretty/big/astounding.)

(5) Interjection: Ano! (What the hell!)

(6) Substitute for genitalia: Did you ano your ano?

The use of ano is quite dangerous for the untrained ear, and must be put
into the proper setting. "Honey, the ano is too long, we have to cut it,"
must be accompanied by the proper understanding of the context,
as results may be critical to a couple's future.

3. Booba (boo-bah). A female blessed with larger than usual mammary
glands,
which can be used as weapons of mass destruction.

4. Checheboreche (Che-che-boh-re-che) Same as achuchu. It is interesting
to
ponder on the reason why there are so many words in the Filipino
language that beautifully describe meaningless chatter.

8. Kikay (kee-kay). Refers to individuals who carry a brush, hand wash,
moisturizer, lip-gloss and various other facial enhancements in a case
(aptly called a kikay kit) inside her bag. Recent inspections of various
backpacks have led to the conclusion it is not a purely female trait. This
breed cannot resist checking themselves out on mirrors, glass windows,
bread knives, sidewalk puddles and plastic-covered notebooks.

i haven't got enough sleep lately coz my pamangkins are all here, all six of them, plus of course my other nephew na kasama ko sa house, so there's seven of them. di sila masyadong kumpleto. those six kids arrived from davao city (that's my hometown) last sunday. of course, i have to come and pick them up at the airport straight from my 11pm-8am shift. i wasn't surprised at all at how they've grown so much since my 3 older nieces and nephew are all taller than me since last year pa. but when i saw them at the airport, aba'y akalain mong nagmukha na talaga akong pandak, especially when they scrambled to kiss their coolest auntie (that's me, anu bah)! i was actually feeling feverish at that time pero keri lang. i dozed off at 2pm and woke up with a splitting headache na parang nakasakay ako sa anchor's away haha! i have to call-in sick (sayang my ops bonus for the month of may!) i hate pa naman being absent but i'm not saying naman na super excited naman ako pumasok sa work. i just don't like being absent, kahit sa school noon.

since they're here, almost everyday may lakad sila. out with cousins, out with lolas, out with tita's...me naman, eto taking calls in the middle of the night hehe di na naman ako kasama sa mga gimikan na yan! and my sister keeps on blaming me for choosing a wednesday thursday rest day instead of a sat sun rest day. anyway, my pamangkins love havaianas too so off we went to rustan's U floor last wednesday to buy some flip flops and afterwards we feasted on saganaki and chicken ceasar pizza at el cuento in G4. We went swimming the next day and videoke naman sa bahay sa gabi haha! my brother-in-law is medyo mahilig sa music, though i haven't heard him sing ever but he's into collecting expensive guitars and all so they had one room in the house converted into a music room. feel na feel ko talaga kasi pag kumanta ka with matching stand pa yung mic hahaha! i think my sisters' gonna buy magic sing (finally!) kasi hindi masakyan ng mga pamangkin namin most of the songs na pang-tigulang talaga hahahahhahaaha! next week i'm on leave para naman join naman ako sa mga lakaran na yan and have to fix some important documents as well :D

Boracay & Friends

It's my rest day today. Actually, I only got 1 rest day for the entire week because I covered up for my colleague Kay, who's now having the grandest time in Aklan. Kay is meeting up with two of my other colleagues, Eira and Macy, and they're on their way to Bora! I just got a text message from Eira saying "isang oras na lang, bora na!". Naiimagine ko na si Macy gumugulong-gulong sa mala-paraisong isla na yan haha Sana lang may mga pasalubong sila because here we are, the very dedicated reps of PS, OT dito double shift doon, while the three of them were given vacation leaves hahaha!

I'm not bitter, slight lang.

I just wish I could also take my friends and spend kahit 3 days man lang sa Bora. I'm not really mega laway sa beach 'coz all my life naman parang and dali dali lang mag-beach sa Davao. You don't have to plan for it, pag feel mo, go agad. But Bora is still Bora, diba? Iba pa rin yon. Haaay! It's so hard to get a vacation leave these days, with our TM informing us that we are on Code Red...tsk tsk wala bang Code Pink dyan? bwahahaha! Though TM says the account is doing good and all, but still I would like to hear him say Code Pink...code pink code pink code pink!

I've found out how to insert my pics here. Thanks to Melch, who never fails to answer my questions via email (he's at work, taking calls right now) and to Eira for texting me how to adjust the size of the pics in the middle of her Boracay adventure :D So nice my officemates noh?

Graveyard

i'm back to the graveyard shift and i'm so happy about it i was always on the night shift ever since i started working at a call center and when i transferred to another account, which is a 24/7 account (meaning we're open from morning til night hehe) i was also transferred to the morning shift and to the afternoon shift. now i'm back to the graveyard shift. it just makes me so happy because apart from the no parking fee and bigger pay, i don't need to wake up so early (well at least for the next 3 months) just to make sure i log-in on time or look for a nice spot to park my car where i know it won't get towed i don't know, but i always feel i have longer hours when i'm on the night shift. It makes me sad though because my friends are no longer my shiftmates. They're called the G-Girls and they are eternally AM reps. I miss them so much. I miss all the 7am chikahan and yung mga tipong kaka-log in lang nag-iisip na kung ano ang kakainin hahaha We always get reprimanded because we're so noisy and we speak tagalog on the floor, kesehodang we have an English Only Policy in the office. Tipong kala mo mga balikbayan ngayon lang nagkita...and it's like that every single day. Don't get me wrong, but the night shift peeps are also fun to be with. Maingay din at mahilig ding magpa-deliver ng food. I'm glad i'm with them right now because i can practice how to zipper my mouth once in a while and laugh only when something's funny. Yes, when i was with the morning reps, i laugh even when there's nothing to laugh about. i sing whenever i want to (queber sa mga taga-finance) and ooh yes, i bitch as often as i want. nakakahiyang gawin yan sa mga taga-night shift hahaha!

i was inspired to make my very own blog because almost everyone (am,pm,gy) has one. i'm the only one na nakiki-blog/nakiki-angkin ng blog ng may blog...meaning i would open their blogs and leave messages such as 'Thanks for visiting my blog' hahahaha! I would like to thank Eira, Ivy, Melch, Francis, Brian, Lester and Macy for the inspiration....and to Obert for tutoring me on the Blog Basics last night in between my calls and his chats.
